Directing his comments at Modi, who was seated in front of him, Trump surprised everyone by saying that he looks like a very handsome, nice, and soft-spoken man, akin to an angel. He further added that, in reality, he is exceptionally tough, like a killer deal-maker.
It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump, while addressing a press conference after the G-7 Summit, had stated that if the Strait of Hormuz remained closed, the world could have faced a severe economic crisis similar to the Great Depression of 1929. According to him, the Strait of Hormuz holds extraordinary significance for global trade and energy supplies, and its closure would have far-reaching negative impacts on the global economy. Donald Trump claimed that the agreement and diplomatic progress with Iran led to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, stabilizing global markets, adding that without the agreement, guaranteeing the route would have been impossible.
