18 June 2026
(Digital Itla) A series of pre-monsoon rains has started in various parts of the country. Due to the pre-monsoon system, light to heavy rainfall was recorded across several areas of Punjab. Rawalpindi and Islamabad experienced torrential rain accompanied by strong winds, while Attock and its surrounding areas also witnessed rainfall.
Pre-monsoon rains also hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with heavy rain and hailstorms reported in different areas of Peshawar, and stormy winds along with rain in Abbottabad and its suburbs. In Abbottabad, a pushcart vendor was severely injured when a tree fell near the Girls Degree College. Clouds poured heavily in Karak, Haripur, Ghazi, and Khanpur as well, submerging low-lying areas and leaving GT Road looking like a river.
