Traffic Warden Spotted Without Helmet at GTS Chowk Penalized with Fine and Challan, Departmental Action Pending

Faisalabad 30 Sep (DIGITAL ITLA) — Taking strict notice of a viral video showing a traffic warden riding without a helmet at GTS Chowk, authorities traced the official and initiated legal action, resulting in an on-spot challan and fine which he paid personally.

According to the traffic warden's statement, he had initially placed his helmet on his motorcycle while parking near the Satiana Road market, but it was stolen by a passerby. Although he subsequently purchased a new helmet from GTS Chowk, the footage of him riding without one had already circulated on social media.

Alongside the legal penalty, departmental proceedings remain pending against the warden, with Chief Traffic Officer Faisalabad announcing that formal disciplinary action and punishment will be enforced in accordance with rules and regulations once the inquiry concludes. Highlighting the incident, authorities reiterated that obeying traffic laws is a fundamental duty for every citizen, emphasizing that wearing a helmet is crucial for saving precious lives rather than merely avoiding fines.
