PCRWR team visits Divisional Social Welfare Office; agrees to conduct training workshops

Faisalabad 14 Oct 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA): According to Handout No. 1464 issued by the Directorate of Public Relations (PR), Government of the Punjab, a delegation from the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) Faisalabad visited the Divisional Office of Social Welfare and met with Assistant Director Headquarters Tayyab Bhatti.

During the meeting, the District Officer of PCRWR delivered a comprehensive briefing regarding drinking water quality parameters and testing protocols across the division.

To strengthen institutional synergy, both departments agreed to organize joint capacity-building workshops for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating in the water sector. Furthermore, a mutual consensus was reached to implement regular monitoring and laboratory quality-testing for all water filtration plants established by social welfare organizations, ensuring the continuous provision of safe drinking water to the public.
