Faisalabad Arts Council Holds Event to Highlight Mecca Mutual Defence Agreement

FAISALABAD, Aug. 10: The Punjab Council of the Arts, Faisalabad Division, held an event on Monday to highlight the significance of the "Mecca Mutual Defence Agreement", with speakers describing the pact as an important development in relations between brotherly countries.

National songs were performed during the event, which was attended by students, teachers, citizens and people from different walks of life.

Artists from the council performed patriotic songs focusing on love for the country and Muslim unity. Through their performances, they paid tribute to the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the event, prominent writer Dr. Jafar Hassan Mubarak said mutual cooperation was essential for maintaining peace and stability in the region.

He described the Mecca Mutual Defence Agreement as a new chapter in relations between the brotherly countries and said it could contribute to efforts to promote regional peace.

Dr. Qamar said relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were based on religious, cultural and historical ties. He expressed hope that the agreement would contribute to a better future for the people of both countries.

Punjab Council of the Arts Faisalabad representatives Deputy Director Imran Raza and Assistant Director Zahra Batool said the council aimed to promote public awareness of national issues through art, literature and culture.

The event concluded with prayers for the security, prosperity and development of Pakistan.
