Husband and Father-in-Law Arrested for Torturing Wife

FAISALABAD, Oct 3, 2026 (Digital Itla): In Faisalabad, the accused husband and father-in-law, who subjected his wife to torture over domestic disputes, have been arrested. According to the police spokesperson, the accused Shahwaiz, along with other family members, subjected his wife Kainat to torture. SHO Women Police Station Madiha Irshad took prompt action and arrested the main accused Shahwaiz and his father Ajmal. CPO Faisalabad has directed that the arrested accused be given exemplary punishment. He reiterated the resolve that in accordance with the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the protection of women's rights and the provision of justice to them is a top priority.
