Suthra Punjab Agency Reviews Sanitation Operations in Samundri

FAISALABAD, Aug. 28, 2026 — Managing Director of the Suthra Punjab Agency Faisalabad, Abid Hussain Bhatti, visited urban and rural areas of Samundri tehsil on Friday to review sanitation arrangements, waste management and the door-to-door waste collection system. During the visit, Bhatti inspected Union Council 125 and Chak No. 463, where he reviewed door-to-door waste collection and spoke with residents about the service and overall cleanliness arrangements.


Field monitoring to be strengthened

Bhatti said regular field monitoring and surprise inspections were being conducted to improve sanitation standards and ensure effective supervision of cleaning operations. He said providing timely and quality sanitation services to residents, along with effective waste management in both urban and rural areas, remained among the agency's top priorities.


Inspection of sanitation operation in Bashir Town

The managing director also inspected an ongoing sanitation operation in Bashir Town, Samundri, and directed the relevant staff to make full use of available resources to provide residents with a clean and healthy environment. He later visited a temporary waste collection point in Chak No. 466-JB, where he reviewed waste collection, transportation and other sanitation arrangements.


Focus on modern waste management

Bhatti said the Suthra Punjab Agency was working to further improve sanitation services in urban and rural areas through a modern and effective strategy. He said field monitoring, timely waste collection and stronger engagement with residents were helping to continuously improve sanitation standards and ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for citizens.
