(Digital Itla) The Hollywood movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day did record business on its very first day of release.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Brand New Day earned approximately $168 million on its opening day in North America, making it the highest single-day gross for any film.
Spider-Man broke the opening day record held by Avengers: Endgame since 2019, following $72 million from Thursday preview shows.
This tremendous start means the film's first weekend is expected to be extraordinary, with projections ranging between $260 million and $280 million in North America.
Some analysts believe it could earn between $275 million and $300 million worldwide during its opening weekend.
If achieved, this will make it one of the biggest superhero film debuts of all time.
Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker, starring alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Sadie Sink.
