Faisalabad (October 1, 2026) Digital Itla — The court in Jaranwala has sentenced the prime accused, Saddam Hussain, to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 400,000 for allegedly luring innocent citizens with the promise of a free Umrah and using them to smuggle narcotics to Saudi Arabia.

According to sources, the accused trapped naive individuals through the pretext of a free pilgrimage and dispatched drugs to Saudi Arabia via them, as a result of which four Pakistani citizens are still languishing in Saudi jails. This judicial verdict has rekindled a sense of hope for justice among the affected families, while efforts and further legal proceedings regarding the release of the detained citizens in Saudi Arabia have also gained significant momentum.
