(Digital Itla) Islamabad: In the second quarter of the current year, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) achieved a record recovery of Rs 2,452 billion, raising its total six-month recovery volume to Rs 5,414 billion. According to NAB's report, 1,078,283 acres of government land were retrieved across Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, and Islamabad.
NAB Sukkur led recoveries by retrieving 853,678 acres of state land valued at Rs 1.01 trillion. NAB Balochistan recovered 209,544 acres valued at Rs 604.64 billion, while NAB Karachi recovered 11,422 acres worth Rs 467.11 billion. Additionally, in housing and financial fraud cases, over Rs 42.303 billion was restored to 24,365 victims. NAB has also fully transitioned to a paperless e-office and AI-based automated investigation framework.
