Faisalabad 7 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): In an ironic turn of events, a man attempting to settle a personal score by misleading the police ended up getting arrested himself in Faisalabad. The suspect, Sajjad, had called the Rescue 15 helpline to report that aerial firing was taking place in his area.
Responding promptly, the Sahianwala police reached the scene to verify the report, only to discover that no aerial firing had occurred. Instead, the caller had merely been involved in a minor verbal altercation with local villagers, and had fabricated the emergency report solely to file a false case. Police took immediate action and arrested the suspect, Sajjad Butt.
Reiterating a strict stance, the CPO Faisalabad warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone misusing the Emergency 15 service or providing false information to law enforcement agencies.
