Livestock Director Reviews Veterinary Facilities, Flood Preparedness in Chiniot

FAISALABAD, Aug. 10: Punjab Livestock Director Dr. Haider Ali Khan visited Chiniot district to review ongoing development projects, veterinary infrastructure, diagnostic facilities and departmental preparations for possible flooding, officials said.

Additional Director Livestock Chiniot Dr. Atta Subhani accompanied Khan during the visit.

The livestock director inspected the offices of the Additional Director Livestock and Deputy Director Livestock, the Civil Veterinary Hospital and the District Diagnostic Laboratory in Chiniot.

During the inspections, he reviewed ongoing construction and renovation work as well as veterinary treatment facilities, vaccine and medicine stores, facilitation services and other available resources.

At the District Diagnostic Laboratory, Khan inspected the building under construction and reviewed the progress and quality of the work. He directed officials to ensure timely completion of the project while maintaining construction standards, durability and all required technical specifications.

He also inspected the newly constructed modern operation theatre at the Civil Veterinary Hospital. Khan described the facility as an important step towards improving veterinary services and bringing them in line with modern healthcare requirements.

He directed officials to make effective use of available resources to provide better services to livestock farmers.

The director also reviewed preparations for a possible flood situation in Chiniot. Officials were directed to ensure the availability of essential medicines, vaccines, staff and other resources so that veterinary services could be provided promptly to livestock farmers in the event of an emergency.

Khan instructed officials to complete all ongoing development projects within the prescribed timelines while ensuring quality, durability and practical requirements.

He said improved and modern veterinary and diagnostic facilities should be made available to livestock farmers as part of efforts to strengthen veterinary services across the district.
