FAISALABAD, Aug. 25, 2026: Faisalabad Commissioner Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh has directed livestock owners to voluntarily remove cattle from urban areas by Sept. 20, 2026, warning that enforcement action could follow after the deadline.

The commissioner visited Zubair Town along Samundri Road and several other areas to inspect the presence of cows, buffaloes, calves and other livestock in residential neighborhoods.

During the visit, he observed foul odors, blocked sewage systems and disruption to traffic allegedly linked to the presence of livestock in densely populated areas.

Sheikh met livestock owners and urged them to relocate their animals from urban neighborhoods before the deadline to avoid administrative action.

He said providing residents with a clean, hygienic and pleasant environment was a priority for the district administration.

The commissioner also directed relevant officials to continue monitoring urban areas and take necessary measures to address problems caused by livestock within residential localities.
