Famous Antibiotic Tablets: Alert Issued, Do Not Use Under Any Circumstances

(Digital Itla) A medical alert has been issued regarding the antibiotic Azomax 250 mg, warning the general public not to use this medicine and to purchase medications only from authorized medical stores and pharmacies.

The Directorate of Drugs Control of the Punjab Health Department, taking action against counterfeit medicines, has declared a specific batch of Azomax 250 mg fake and issued an immediate alert.

The alert states that Azomax 250 mg, Batch Number H5332, which carries an expiry date of July 2027, has been declared counterfeit. The Health Department noted that while the name of AGP Limited is printed on the packaging, the manufacturer has clarified that the batch in question is not part of its original, genuine production.

The Directorate of Drugs Control has directed pharmacies, medical stores, distributors, and other healthcare centers to immediately halt the sale and distribution of this batch, quarantine existing stock, and report it to the relevant drug inspector. The Health Department has also warned the public regarding this batch and advised them to purchase medications only from authorized medical stores and pharmacies. The notice adds that if any adverse effects occur after using this medicine, it should be immediately reported to the Punjab Pharmacovigilance Center so that necessary action can be taken.
