(Digital Itla) Traffic police personnel were left astonished during a general traffic hold-up upon discovering that a single citizen officially has 421 vehicles registered under his name, racking up millions in unpaid fines. This striking revelation exposed a massive record of traffic violations and suspicious vehicle registrations.
According to details, traffic wardens stopped a motorcyclist during a routine checking drive. Upon checking the ownership records via the system, they discovered that a citizen named Baz Muhammad has 421 vehicles—including auto-rickshaws, motorcycles, and cars—registered to his name. Furthermore, the records showed that Baz Muhammad owes over PKR 2,088,800 in unpaid e-challans (electronic traffic fines). Following the discovery, the motorcycle was impounded at the Muslim Town Police Station. On the orders of CTO Lahore, Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi, the crackdown against e-challan defaulters is being intensified. Authorities noted that millions in outstanding e-challans present a major challenge, prompting them to expand the investigation into fake or suspicious vehicle registrations across Lahore under a zero-tolerance policy.
