Extortion and Kidnapping Case Registered Against Actor Muneeb Butt; Appears in Court

(Digital Itla) Actor Muneeb Butt appeared before a special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) during a hearing for a case involving alleged kidnapping for ransom. The court extended his interim bail, maintaining his protective legal relief until the next scheduled hearing.

The case, registered by the Airport Police on April 23 based on a complaint by Mutal Khan, names Muneeb Butt as an accused. The complainant alleges that Muneeb Butt, along with other accomplices, allegedly kidnapped him. According to police investigations, the complainant further stated that after being abducted, cryptocurrency worth millions of rupees was transferred from his personal account to the accounts of the suspects. Following the alleged transfer of the cryptocurrency, the victim was released in the Korangi area. During the court proceedings, Muneeb Butt filed a plea requesting an extension of his interim bail, which the court accepted. The case is currently in its initial stages, and the court has summoned a progress report from the police for the next hearing.
