Negotiations with US Ongoing via Pakistan to Finalize Agreement, Says Iran

(Digital Itla) Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir-Saeid Iravani, stated that diplomatic contacts and negotiations between Iran and the United States are ongoing through Pakistan to finalize a potential agreement. Speaking to the media following a UN Security Council meeting on Afghanistan, the Iranian ambassador revealed that Tehran and Washington are continually exchanging views and proposals.
Amir-Saeid Iravani noted that both nations are utilizing Pakistan's mediation to trade perspectives on various points to reach a consensus and an acceptable draft. He added that while both sides have not yet agreed on a final text, the negotiation process remains active with persistent efforts toward progress. The Iranian envoy emphasized that the current diplomatic channel aims to resolve outstanding issues and establish a mutually acceptable framework, with Pakistan serving as a vital communication bridge. Analysts suggest these diplomatic endeavors are crucial for easing regional tensions, while Pakistan’s role as a mediator is gaining international recognition.
