Prime Minister and President Discuss Budget and Security Situation in High-Level Meeting

(Digital Itla) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari discussed the upcoming budget and national security during a high-level meeting. The two leaders engaged in detailed deliberations on the country's overall political, economic, and security situation. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and the Prime Minister's Advisor on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah.

According to sources, the session focused on national security, internal law and order, the regional situation, and the lineaments of the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The Gilgit-Baltistan elections and the current situation in Azad Kashmir also came under discussion. President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that prioritizing public welfare, provincial rights, and economic stability in the next budget is imperative. He directed authorities to create effective synergy between development projects and public relief programs. During the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the President on his recent visit to Iran and diplomatic engagements regarding the regional situation. Other prominent leaders in attendance included Senator Sherry Rehman, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Senator Shahadat Awan, and MNA Syed Naveed Qamar. Furthermore, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Faisal Rathore, and MNA Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also participated in the meeting.
