(Digital Itla) Lady doctor Mahnoor Nasir, who was injured in a horrific acid attack in Quetta, Balochistan, has been admitted to a private hospital in Karachi where her treatment has commenced.
Dr. Mahnoor is receiving care at the Aga Khan Hospital. Hospital sources state that she sustained 13% acid burns, which affected the sides of both eyes, though her eyesight remains completely safe. Upon her arrival at the hospital, doctors performed initial examinations and tests. Evaluations by plastic surgery and eye specialists have been completed, noting burn wounds on her face, abdomen, and right hand. Sources mentioned that Dr. Mahnoor has been shifted to the special care unit and will undergo another medical evaluation after 24 hours. They added that the patient's condition is satisfactory, she has shown improvement, and the medical team is optimistic about her recovery. Hospital sources confirmed her condition is out of danger, her vital organs are unaffected, and her status is stable. Experts noted that while the corneas of both eyes sustained minor effects, her vision is intact. She will continue treatment under the supervision of an ophthalmologist, with plastic surgery and other specialist teams remaining in constant coordination with the medical staff, while the Government of Balochistan is directly monitoring her treatment.
