(Digital Itla) It has been decided to release the 5th and 6th installments of the Fuel Subsidy Scheme during June 2026. According to details, the federal government took a major decision to release the 5th and 6th installments of the scheme within the current month. This important decision was made during a review meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, the meeting took a detailed review of the fuel subsidy assistance provided to transport operators, motorcycle owners, and farmers. The statement mentioned that under this scheme, 4 installments have already been successfully released on a weekly basis over the past two months. Deputy PM Ishaq Dar expressed complete satisfaction with the progress made so far and gave strict directives to ensure its effective implementation. Matters regarding transparency, accountability, and coordination with provincial governments were also discussed. Ishaq Dar directed authorities to further strengthen the monitoring system to ensure maximum benefits reach the deserving people. The meeting was attended by Special Assistant Tariq Bajwa, the Petroleum Secretary, Chief Secretaries of all provinces, and other high-ranking officials.
