Prime Minister and Interior Minister Hold Important Meeting; Discuss Gilgit Elections, Security

(Digital Ittila) Lahore: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore, during which the overall law and order and security situation in the country was discussed in detail. During the meeting, the Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister about the special arrangements made for the protection of citizens' lives and property and the security of public places on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. He stated that the relevant institutions are fully active to provide a safe environment to the public during the Eid days.
Mohsin Naqvi also gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister regarding the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan. He stated that security agencies have made comprehensive planning to ensure peaceful, transparent, and organized conduct of the elections, while a special security plan has been formulated to provide a secure environment to voters and maintain law and order.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the services of the Ministry of Interior, law enforcement agencies, and security forces for establishing peace and stability in the country and protecting the public. He also praised the efforts of the Interior Minister and his team for the effective security arrangements for the Gilgit-Baltistan elections. The Prime Minister remarked that the government will continue to take all possible measures to protect the lives and property of the people and promote the democratic process, ensuring that transparent and peaceful elections are held.
