Saudi Arabia (Digital Itla): Airlines have issued a new policy regarding baggage weight and the transport of Zamzam water for pilgrims returning home after performing Hajj. According to the announcement, pilgrims will not be allowed to carry Zamzam water with their personal luggage. According to the issued guidelines, Pakistani pilgrims will be provided a 5-liter bottle of Zamzam water upon their arrival at the airport in Pakistan, while passengers traveling via Saudi Airlines will be given their Zamzam water bottle directly at the Saudi Arabian airport. Under the policy, pilgrims traveling via official and private Pakistani airlines will be allowed to bring up to 40 kg of baggage. On the other hand, Saudi Airlines passengers have been provided a baggage allowance of up to 46 kg. The announcement further stated that the 7 kg hand-carry allowance remains unchanged for passengers traveling on both Pakistani and Saudi airlines. Hajj management officials have directed pilgrims to strictly follow the rules and regulations regarding prescribed weight and baggage during departure and return to ensure their travel stages are completed without any hassle.
