Punjab Government Announces Rs50,000 Fine for Dumping Animal Waste During Eid-ul-Adha

(Digital Itla) The Punjab Government has announced a fine of Rs50,000 for openly dumping animal waste and offal during Eid ul-Adha as part of efforts to improve cleanliness and administrative arrangements.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The chief minister directed district administrations and police officers to remain active in the field during Eid holidays and warned that negligence or poor performance would not be tolerated.
The meeting also decided to take strict action against illegal cattle markets and unauthorized animal sales. Digital monitoring systems will be activated in cattle markets, while special security arrangements will be implemented to prevent theft and robbery.
Authorities were also instructed to strictly enforce the ban on banned organizations collecting animal hides and crack down on the illegal use of loudspeakers.
In addition, temporary amusement rides will be banned across Punjab, while safety inspections of rides in parks will be mandatory.
