(Digital Itlaah) In search of better employment opportunities and economic prospects, a large number of Pakistanis moved abroad during the first four months of the current year.
According to official statistics, nearly 250,000 Pakistanis migrated to different countries for employment during this period.
The report stated that a major portion of those leaving the country belonged to the labor class, with their number exceeding 150,000.
In addition, many professionals also left the country for work opportunities, including over 1,000 doctors, 2,000 engineers, more than 1,600 accountants, and over 500 IT experts.
According to the data, Saudi Arabia remained the largest destination for Pakistani workers, with 136,488 Pakistanis moving there.
Large numbers of Pakistani workers also traveled to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, while the number of people moving to the UAE recorded a significant increase compared to last year.
Experts believe this trend raises important questions regarding the country’s economy and employment opportunities, as a considerable number of skilled professionals are also leaving Pakistan in search of a better future.
