Field Marshal Asim Munir’s Diplomatic Engagements Continue in Tehran, Positive Progress Expected

(Digital Itlaah) Diplomatic efforts regarding negotiations between the United States and Iran are continuing during the visit of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to Iran, while sources say hopes for positive progress in the talks remain alive.
During his stay in Tehran, Field Marshal Asim Munir held important meetings with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Iranian Parliament Speaker and Chief Negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also accompanied him during these meetings.
According to the Iranian News Agency, Speaker Ghalibaf stated during the meeting that Iran would not compromise on its nation or national rights under any circumstances. He further added that the Iranian military had strengthened its capabilities during the ceasefire period.
Sources say that after completing his visit to Tehran, Field Marshal Asim Munir will travel to China according to his official schedule.
It is worth mentioning that the Field Marshal arrived in Tehran yesterday as part of diplomatic mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, where he received a warm welcome from Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also present on the occasion.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir also met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the regional situation and ongoing diplomatic contacts.
The visit comes at a time when Iran is reportedly close to responding to American ceasefire proposals, while Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also continuing important diplomatic meetings in Tehran.
