(Digital Itla) The worsening economic crisis, extreme poverty, and food shortages under the Taliban regime have reportedly made life increasingly difficult for the people of Afghanistan.

Disturbing reports have emerged from famine-affected regions of Afghanistan, where innocent children are allegedly being sold in exchange for loans and bread, raising serious humanitarian concerns.

According to a well-known British publication, poor Afghan families under Taliban rule are being forced to sell their children just to secure basic food.

According to the United Nations, three out of every four people in Afghanistan are unable to meet their basic needs, while millions are facing a severe humanitarian crisis.

Unemployment among young people has reportedly risen to alarming levels, the healthcare system is in decline, and more than 4.7 million Afghans are said to be on the brink of famine.

Medicines have become scarce in government hospitals across Afghanistan, while limited medical facilities have added to public hardships.

Experts claim that rigid policies, oppressive governance, and poor administration by the Taliban have pushed Afghanistan toward hunger, destruction, and global isolation.

The report states that Afghan citizens are paying the price of economic failures and mismanagement through hunger, poverty, and unemployment, while the country continues to face worsening instability and hardship.
