Police encounter in the jurisdiction of , Faisalabad; two robbers arrested in injured condition

The accused were identified as Salamat and Dildar. Both suspects are record holders in dozens of criminal cases. SHO People’s Colony Police Station, Wajid Hussain, along with his police team, was present near Jhal Bridge when they signaled three suspicious unidentified individuals to stop. The suspects opened direct firing on the police party and fled towards Railway Ground.

Upon receiving information, additional police force reached the scene. The suspects continued intense firing on the police team, while the police retaliated in self-defense.

After the exchange of fire stopped, police found two suspects lying injured along with weapons. According to police, the suspects were injured by the firing of their own accomplice, while the third suspect managed to escape under the cover of darkness.

The injured suspects were immediately shifted to hospital for medical treatment. A city-wide blockade and search operation have been launched to arrest the escaped suspect.
