MD WASA Directs Officers to Obtain Feedback from Complainants and Accelerate Development Projects
FAISALABAD, Aug. 12, 2026: Managing Director WASA Faisalabad Saqib Raza has directed officials to resolve sewerage-related complaints on an emergency basis and ensure that complainants are contacted to obtain feedback after their complaints have been addressed.
Chairing a high-level meeting, Raza said that once a sewerage complaint in any area had been resolved, it should not reappear on any forum. He warned that if a resolved complaint was reported again, the relevant operations officer would be held responsible.
Work on Sewerage Projects to Be Accelerated
Raza said several development schemes involving the installation of new pipelines were currently under way in different parts of the city to restore sewerage operations fully.
He acknowledged that some issues were being faced in sewerage operations because of the ongoing construction work, but stressed that resolving public complaints should remain the top priority of operations officers and staff.
He directed officials to accelerate construction work on several key projects, including PS-34 Samanabad, the main force line on Jhang Road and the main force line at Daud Chowk, along with other ongoing development schemes.
He instructed that the projects be completed within the stipulated timeframe so that residents could benefit from improved sewerage services as soon as possible.
No Negligence in Providing Drainage Services
The WASA chief emphasized that providing efficient drainage facilities to citizens was among the authority's top priorities and that negligence would not be tolerated.
He directed the relevant officers to closely monitor field operations, maintain regular contact with residents and ensure the permanent resolution of sewerage problems across the city.
