On the other hand, rescue operations remain underway across Venezuela following the earthquake. According to British media reports, the number of missing persons following the quake has surpassed 50,000. British media confirmed the death toll at 920 with over 3,000 injured, while the US Geological Survey fears that the total number of fatalities could exceed 10,000.
