(Digital Itla) Mediators have proposed a 10-day ceasefire between Iran and the United States to pave the way for restoring an interim agreement. According to the Reuters news agency, an Iranian official shared that mediators sent a proposal for a 10-day ceasefire to reduce tensions with the US, and the proposal is currently being reviewed to avert a confrontation between the two nations.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that the goal of the ceasefire is to find ways to revive the interim agreement, adding that mediating countries are working hard to reduce escalation. He noted that Washington's messages were conveyed to Tehran through mediating countries, and diplomatic channels remained active despite the high tensions. The spokesperson clarified that if the scope of the war expands, the US will be held responsible, adding that they are prepared to confront any US military attempt to seize Kharg Island.
