FAISALABAD: 6 Oct (Digital Itla) The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Faisalabad has arrested a suspect allegedly involved in harassing and blackmailing a female victim through WhatsApp, officials said on Tuesday.
According to details, the accused fraudulently obtained the victim’s objectionable data and subsequently used it to intimidate, harass, and blackmail her over the messaging platform.
During the raid, investigative teams recovered a mobile phone containing incriminating digital evidence from the suspect's possession. A formal First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under Sections 20, 21, and 24 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 at the Police Station NCCIA Faisalabad, and further legal proceedings are underway.
