DARWIN, Aug 15 — Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc has become the leading left-arm wicket-taker in Test cricket.
Starc reached 434 Test wickets after dismissing Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam in the first Test of the series in Darwin, moving past former Sri Lanka spinner Rangana Herath.
Herath finished his Test career with 433 wickets.
Pakistan fast-bowling great Wasim Akram is third on the list of leading left-arm wicket-takers in Test cricket with 414 wickets.
