Lack of Facilities at Allied Hospital-1: Patients Being Referred to Lahore for CT Angiography Due to Absent Machinery

Faisalabad 30 Sep (DIGITAL ITLA) - Patients turning to government hospitals for free treatment are increasingly being referred to Lahore due to a lack of facilities at Allied Hospital-1, the region's largest healthcare facility. According to documents, a female patient named Azra Bibi was referred to Lahore because Allied Hospital-1 lacks a CT angiography machine.

Sources indicate that neither Allied Hospital-1 nor any other public-sector hospital in Faisalabad is equipped with a CT angiography machine, despite an annual budget worth billions of rupees and administrative negligence that prevents the procurement of machinery worth hundreds of thousands. Furthermore, while interventionist cardiologists at Allied Hospital-1 lack this machinery at the public facility, the equipment is reportedly available at their private clinics.

The patient's attendants have appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, known for advocating free quality healthcare, to take immediate notice of the situation and direct the government to provide the required machinery.
