Jaranwala Road to GC Women University road rehabilitation underway: Deadline fixed for October 22

Faisalabad 11 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): On the directives of Commissioner Faisalabad Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh, the repair and rehabilitation work on the critical road artery connecting Jaranwala Road to GC Women University is progressing rapidly, with an absolute completion deadline set for October 22.

Elaborating on the project, Commissioner Faisalabad stated that high-quality resurfacing of this major route will ensure smooth traffic flow and improved commuting facilities for residents. Acknowledging the temporary inconvenience caused to the public during construction, he noted that the Highways Department has been instructed to expedite operations while enforcing continuous water sprinkling along the corridor to suppress dust pollution.

Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh highlighted that establishing smooth alternative routes is a top priority due to the ongoing construction of the Metro Bus Project on Jaranwala Road. He noted that the rehabilitation of Susaan Road from GC University has already been completed, while repair work on Millat Road will be wrapped up shortly. Furthermore, sewage pipeline installation is currently underway at Noorpur Sabzi Mandi Road, which will be followed immediately by asphalt carpeting.
