FAISALABAD: 5 Oct (Digital Itla) — On the directives of Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, a vigorous crackdown against illegal housing schemes and unauthorized constructions is currently underway. In a recent operation, the FDA enforcement team took strict action along Dijkot and Samundri roads, demolishing illegal structures and sealing properties across three violating housing developments.
Under the supervision of Director Town Planning-II Asma Mohsin, the enforcement team—comprising Assistant Director Town Planning Muhammad Yawar, Enforcement Inspector Aslam Gujjar, and other staff—conducted an operation in Chak No. 263 RB on Dijkot Road, demolishing illegal constructions and entry gates of two unauthorized housing extensions using heavy machinery. Similarly, along Samundri Road near Niamuana, action was taken against the unauthorized commercial conversion of residential plots in Gulshan-e-Haram Housing Scheme, where newly constructed shops were demolished.
The FDA administration emphasized that unauthorized commercial activities in residential areas and violations of land-use regulations will not be tolerated. Developers have been strictly warned to comply with approved master plans and statutory bylaws or face indiscriminate punitive action. Citizens have also been advised to verify the legal status of housing schemes and properties with the FDA before making any investments.
