FDA cracks down on illegal commercialization: Four properties sealed in Sir Syed Town; encroached plot recovered in Ahmad Nagar

Faisalabad 12 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): Continuing aggressive operations against illegal commercialization and land encroachments under the directions of Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Mohammad Asif Chaudhry, the FDA enforcement team launched a major crackdown across the city, sealing four properties in Sir Syed Town and retrieving an encroached public plot in Ahmad Nagar.

According to details, owners of the targeted residential properties in Sir Syed Town were repeatedly served official notices and challans for illegally operating commercial ventures on residential land without statutory approval. Following non-compliance, Director Town Planning-I Afnan Saeed Sandhu supervised an enforcement operation led by Inspector Aslam Gujjar and team, resulting in the sealing of Plots No. 183, 187, and 191 in Block A, alongside Plot No. 4 in Block D of Sir Syed Town. FDA authorities warned owners to legalize their properties immediately or face strict penal action.

In a separate enforcement action, the team foiled an encroachment attempt on FDA's cancelled property—Plot No. 334-B in Ahmad Nagar—demolishing illegal structures on-site and successfully recovering the land. DG FDA Mohammad Asif Chaudhry reiterated that violations of building bylaws, illegal commercialization, and encroachment on state-owned land will be dealt with an iron fist to ensure rule of law across the district.
