Faisalabad: Important Meeting Held Under "Suthra Punjab" to Review Sanitation Arrangements and Field Monitoring

FAISALABAD, Sept 29, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique to review sanitation arrangements and field monitoring under the "Suthra Punjab" program. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Anwar Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Adil Umar, Assistant Commissioner City Ranjeeb Goraya, Assistant Commissioner Saddar Dr. Zulqarnain, along with officers from Local Government, the Parks and Horticulture Agency (PHA), Suthra Punjab, and other relevant departments.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed special attention toward the cleanliness situation, emphasizing that officers must regularly conduct field visits to ensure effective monitoring of sanitation arrangements. He instructed authorities to immediately address any shortages of sanitation staff and resources, evaluate cleanliness conditions across various areas, and maintain close coordination among all relevant institutions.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner directed all Assistant managers and Assistant Commissioners to make monitoring of the sanitation operations in their respective tehsils more effective and to regularly submit tehsil-wise cleanliness data to the district administration. He made it clear that improving sanitation standards in urban areas must be achieved through rigorous field monitoring, optimal resource utilization, and prompt action.
