FAISALABAD, Aug 15, 2026 — The death toll from a gas leak-related fire in Faisalabad’s Masoodabad area rose to four after another injured person died in hospital, officials said.
The victim, identified as Imran, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Allied Hospital.
The incident occurred on Aug. 5 when a gas leak triggered a fire at a house in Masoodabad, leaving seven people injured.
Three of the injured had earlier died during treatment, while four others were receiving medical care at Allied Hospital.
Police in Samanabad have registered a case against 14 employees, including the general manager of the gas utility and two contractors, in connection with the incident.
Further investigation into the incident is under way.
