Faisalabad 13 Oct 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA): Pursuant to the directives of Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Muhammad Numan Siddique, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Social Services) Roshad Iqbal chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee for Anti-Dengue Operations. The meeting rigorously evaluated district-wide anti-dengue protocols, field surveillance metrics, and high-risk hotspot coverage.

The meeting was attended by senior officers representing the Health Department (CO Health), Zila Council, School Education, Local Government, WASA, Suthra Punjab Agency, and the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).

Addressing the committee, ADC Roshad Iqbal directed line departments to step up daily field visits and indoor/outdoor surveillance to track potential breeding sites. Emphasizing seasonal risks, ADC Roshad Iqbal noted that October and November are critical months for dengue vector proliferation, warning that any administrative slackness or negligence during this period will face strict strictures.

He mandated that detected dengue larvae must be eliminated immediately through rigorous chemical spraying and biological treatment. Furthermore, he directed authorities to run public awareness drives urging citizens to remove stagnant water from residential units, commercial properties, under-construction sites, and graveyards, reaffirming the district administration's resolve to utilize all municipal assets to safeguard public health.
