Chak Jhumra double murder over canal water dispute: CPO takes strict notice, special teams conduct raids to nab fleeing suspects

Faisalabad 8 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain has taken strict notice of a tragic double murder incident in Chak 186 GB Dogranwala, within the jurisdiction of the Chak Jhumra police station, where a dispute over canal water turned fatal.

According to police, suspects Jahanzeb and Amir allegedly opened fire over a water distribution dispute, targeting Azmatullah and his son Fahad (Asmatullah). Both victims succumbed to their bullet injuries on the spot, while the assailants managed to flee the scene before authorities arrived.

Local police and specialist teams from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) rushed to the scene immediately following the emergency call. Forensic experts cordoned off the area to collect crucial evidence, while police shifted the bodies for medico-legal procedures.

Taking immediate cognizance of the incident, CPO Faisalabad sought a detailed report from SP Madina Town and constituted dedicated police teams under his direct supervision to apprehend the culprits. Police confirmed that raids are actively underway to track down the suspects and bring them to justice.
