Worker Employed at Chinese Project in Tarbela Dam Shot Dead

(Digital Itla) Sabir Hussain, a light-duty foreman deployed at the Tarbela Dam 5th Extension Project (T5), was shot dead by unidentified individuals.

According to the police, the incident occurred in the Galla Mor area, where unidentified armed attackers opened fire on Hussain before fleeing the scene. The deceased hailed from the Rahim Yar Khan district. Sources stated that in addition to working as a light-duty foreman for the Tarbela T5 project, Hussain was also serving as a driver for the Chinese project manager.

The incident sparked widespread fear and panic in the area. Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the scene, collected forensic evidence, and shifted the body to the hospital for necessary legal formalities. Police stated that a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the attackers, and investigations are underway exploring various angles to determine the motive behind the killing.
