(Digital Itla) Reacting to the controversy surrounding actress Momina Iqbal and Saqib Chadhur, Pakistani dramatist Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar heavily criticized the growing live-in relationship culture in society. Speaking during a podcast, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar remarked that if such incidents become commonplace, then the word "Islamic Republic" should be removed from Pakistan's name. He stated that many justifications are now being offered for live-in relationships, adding, "Don't do this; for God's sake, do not normalize and popularize it." Qamar emphasized that if a relationship truly existed, it should have ended with respect and decency, and if the matter involved financial transactions, it should have been resolved privately. He further added that both parties are equally responsible in this matter and bringing such personal issues into the public eye is a childish act.
