(Digital Itla) President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the summoning of the National Assembly and Senate sessions for the upcoming budget. The National Assembly session will be held on Friday, June 5, at 5:00 PM, while the Senate session will meet on the same day at 6:00 PM. The federal budget for the next fiscal year 2026-27 will be presented during the National Assembly session, and the official agenda for both houses is expected to be released in the coming days. According to sources, the budget for the new fiscal year is being prepared in consultation with the IMF, and consensus has been reached on most major issues. The federal government is considering various relief proposals for government employees and pensioners, including recommendations for salary and pension increases. The Prime Minister's Advisor, Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, stated that the government is trying to provide maximum relief to various sectors of the public, including the salaried class. Economic experts note that major announcements regarding inflation, tax reforms, development projects, and public relief are expected in the upcoming budget, drawing close attention from political and public circles.
