(Digital Ittila) During Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's visit to China, an important meeting was held with Xi Jinping in Beijing, where bilateral relations and the regional situation were discussed in detail. During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing and robust relations between Pakistan and China. Speaking on the occasion, Xi Jinping stated that the relationship between China and Pakistan holds the status of an "unbreakable traditional friendship" and that China accords special importance to Pakistan in its neighboring diplomacy. Referring to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as an old friend, he described mutual trust and cooperation as the foundation of relations between the two countries. The Chinese President also lauded Pakistan's constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, stating that Pakistan's diplomatic efforts to reduce regional tensions are highly commendable.
