Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in China on Four-Day Official Visit

(Digital Itlaah) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in China on a four-day official visit, with the first phase of the trip beginning in Hangzhou.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are accompanying him on the visit.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the visit will continue until May 26 and aims to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and China, enhance political engagement, and promote economic cooperation.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet the Party Secretary of Zhejiang Province in Hangzhou, while discussions on the Middle East situation are also expected.

It was further stated that under CPEC Phase 2, business forums and agreement-signing ceremonies will be held to advance various trade and investment projects between Pakistan and China.

The Prime Minister will meet CEOs of Chinese companies and visit major industrial and agricultural institutions, including the China Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to Beijing, where meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang are expected.

 

Special ceremonies marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations will also be attended during the visit.
