75 Years of Pakistan-China Diplomatic Relations: Special Messages from President Zardari and the Prime Minister

(Digital Itla) President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have issued special messages on the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

According to a private TV channel, President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the Chinese leadership and people on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, stating that Pakistan-China relations are a shining example of mutual trust, strategic cooperation, and unwavering friendship.

The President said that despite changing regional and global circumstances, Pakistan and China have always stood together in solidarity. He added that the Pakistan-China strategic cooperative partnership is an important milestone for peace, stability, and development in the region. He further stated that the people of Pakistan take pride in the exemplary friendship between the two nations.

He said that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China has achieved remarkable success in innovation, poverty alleviation, and national development. Pakistan appreciates China’s Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative, which reflect efforts to promote peace, sustainable development, and global harmony.

President Zardari stated that Pakistan remains firmly committed to the “One China” policy and will continue supporting China on all matters related to its core interests.

In his message, President Zardari further said that Pakistan values China’s unwavering support for its sovereignty and socio-economic development. He also appreciated China’s leadership for the Global South and its positive role in promoting peace in West Asia.

The President said that under the second phase of CPEC, economic cooperation, investment, and development efforts will be accelerated further. He added that Pakistan and China are keen to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including technology, agriculture, green energy, tourism, and innovation.

Reaffirming the commitment to taking Pakistan-China friendship to new heights, President Zardari said that the friendship between the two countries will become even stronger and more stable in the coming years.
