FAISALABAD, Aug. 28, 2026 — Managing Director of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad, Saqib Raza, has directed officials and contractors to accelerate construction work on ongoing development projects so that the benefits of public welfare schemes can reach residents at the earliest. He issued the directives while chairing a Development Progress Review Meeting, where he reviewed the progress of various schemes being implemented under the Chief Minister's package and the Punjab Development Programme.

Construction work to be accelerated

Raza expressed satisfaction over progress on projects being carried out under the CM Package but directed officials to further accelerate work on schemes being implemented under the Punjab Development Programme. He said delays in completing development schemes would not be tolerated and directed officials to take action against contractors responsible for unnecessary delays.

Projects to be completed on priority

The WASA chief said the schemes under the Punjab Development Package should be completed as quickly as possible in line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's vision so that citizens could benefit from the projects without further delay. He also directed the consultant agency to improve the quality and efficiency of its work and ensure effective supervision of ongoing projects.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Managing Director Administration Shoaib Rashid, Deputy Managing Director Engineering Shoaib Zia, Director Construction East Maqbool Ahmed Sanbpal, Technical Officer Hayat Randhawa, Deputy Director Construction Furqan Hair, Deputy Director Sanwal Malik and representatives of the consultant agency.
