"US Will Now Collect Security Fees at the Strait of Hormuz," Says Trump

(Digital Itla) US President Donald Trump has announced a re-blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. He clarified that the blockade will exclusively target Iranian vessels and their customers, while countries other than Iran will retain full, unrestricted access to freely use the strait.

President Trump announced that the US will charge a 20% security fee on all cargo passing through the Strait of Hormuz to cover American security costs. He stated firmly that the blockade and the new fee enforcement system are being implemented immediately.

In a telephone interview with Fox News, Trump stated, "We have destroyed Iran's military assets, and every Iranian drone attack is now being met with a severe response." Trump maintains that Iran is violating agreements and declared that the US will now act as the guardian of the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that countries must pay heavily for this service, making it clear that the US will no longer provide free protection as it did in the past. President Trump also claimed that up to 52,000 protesters have been killed in Iran so far.
