FAISALABAD, August 21, 2026: Two alleged wanted suspects were killed in an encounter with police near the Agricultural University in Faisalabad, police sources said. According to sources, police teams encountered armed suspects in the area under the leadership of SHO Arsalan Bari of Kotwali Police Station and SHO Syed Atiq-ur-Rehman Shah of Civil Lines Police Station.
During the exchange of fire, two alleged suspects, identified as Shoaib and Shahbaz alias Motah, were killed, reportedly by firing from their own accomplices. Their other companions managed to escape from the scene. Police took the bodies into custody and initiated legal proceedings. Raids are being conducted at various locations to arrest the escaped suspects.
Police officials said the previous criminal records of the deceased suspects are also being verified, while further investigation into the incident is underway. Following the encounter, security has been increased in the area, and police teams are conducting search operations at different locations to track down the fleeing suspects.
