Tragic coaster accident near Jaranwala: Two-month-old infant dies, seven injured as vehicle plunges into canal

Faisalabad 10 Oct (DIGITAL ITLA): A tragic road accident near Jaranwala claimed the life of a two-month-old infant and left seven other passengers injured after a passenger coaster careened off the road and fell into a canal.

According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred on Nankana Road near Chak No. 08 GB, within the jurisdiction of Jaranwala. The passenger coaster, traveling from Sialkot, suffered a sudden tire burst, causing the driver to lose control and driving the vehicle into a roadside canal.

Upon receiving the distress call, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the site and launched an immediate search and rescue operation. During the search, rescuers recovered the body of a two-month-old infant, identified as Dawood, son of Khalil. Despite administering CPR on site, the infant could not be revived. Emergency personnel delivered first aid to the seven injured passengers before transferring them to THQ Hospital Jaranwala and DHQ Hospital Nankana Sahib for medical treatment.
